This was a great read! I can relate to so much of this. Often times we as women try to think about how beautiful, smart, funny, kind, charismatic, we are, and yet all of that doesn't equate to a perfect match nor does it guarantee compatibility or a relationship. Sometimes you're just not his type, and that's OK!
I know it makes sense objectively, that “not being his type” isn’t a jab to me, or what I carry. but it still feels personal, and it still makes me feel like I need to perform or morph into what he would want. Like why does this break me so bad
Loved, loved this read! Just reminded me why it has not fully worked with men who I was incompatible with, I'm thankful that I have decided not to settle for less than what I want and have walked away from situations that made me feel small, not enough or unworthy, thanks again! We will be more than enough to the right match!
Contrary to what some people are saying in the comments, I believe the title is very well put and perfect for the “occasion”. As someone who is currently having the thoughts of “what is wrong with me?” I needed to see this and the title differently isn’t misleading since the content is a great depiction of what the title truly means. You aren’t his type not because you aren’t good enough or pretty enough or smart enough, but because you just aren’t for him. So go be for you! Great read, Aaliyah! 🩷
I just checked and I had this title prepared for writing in 2024 in my Google Docs. I will be sure to post the proof today just so you can be sure that I did not copy you or ever see your page for that matter.
Ok wait that’s really weird bc I had this title in my notes for my substack for a year and this post was written before it got released I scheduled it to be posted on the 28th. Meaning I wrote it way before then. That is actually so weird. And I have proof of this title if I need to show it. Just want to be clear on that! I have receipts and proof and everything that I need to show! I don’t copy anyone and never will and everyone knows this about me.
I want to read the article bc maybe it’s good, but I wonder why people write titles that could be triggering to their target audience? lol it feels v mean girl coded. Very I’ll insult you just so you can get it.
This title isn’t clickbait. It’s what the article is about. It’s about my perspective on if your his type or not. Not sure what’s triggering about that but I understand that not everything is for everyone. Every writer isn’t for everyone.
